Respecting choice, protecting trust
Privacy Policy.
Effective October 26, 2026
At Allostasis Labs, understanding, connection, and trust begin with respecting people's autonomy—including how they choose to share information about themselves. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices available to you.
01. Information we collect
Information you choose to share
When you complete a form or contact us, you may share your name, email address, questions, interest in company updates, research participation or sponsorship, and any other details you choose to provide.
Optional research information
Our research interest form may ask about neurodivergent experiences, perspectives, and preferred types of research activities. These questions are optional; no formal diagnosis is required. Please share only what you feel comfortable sharing.
Technical information
Our website hosting and service providers may process technical details such as IP address, browser information, and request data to deliver and secure the website and prevent abuse.
02. How we use information
We use information to respond to inquiries; provide updates people request; identify and contact people about potential research opportunities; communicate with prospective sponsors or collaborators; operate and improve our website; and meet applicable legal obligations.
Research interest is not consent to participate in a study or permission to receive unrelated marketing. We will provide separate information and seek appropriate consent before specific research activities.
03. Sensitive information and choice
We recognize that information about neurodivergence, disability, and lived experiences can be sensitive. We use optional research responses to consider whether future opportunities may be relevant. We do not require a diagnosis, and we aim to restrict access to people who need the information for the purposes described here.
04. Research participation
Submitting an interest form does not enroll you in a study or commit you to participate. You can decline an invitation, ask questions, or withdraw your interest. Specific studies may have additional notices, consent processes, and data-handling practices explained before participation.
05. Email and communications
We may reply to your messages and contact you about research opportunities when you have requested that contact. Company updates are separate from research recruitment. To ask us to stop nonessential communications, email pollyhartman@allostasis-labs.com.
06. Service providers and disclosures
Cloudflare hosts and helps secure our website and provides website analytics. HubSpot processes form submissions and helps us manage contact information and communications. These providers process data in connection with their services. We do not sell personal information or use optional neurodivergence responses to create advertising profiles.
We may disclose information if legally required or reasonably necessary to protect our rights, users, or services.
07. Analytics and cookies
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics and Real User Measurements to understand website traffic and performance. Our current configuration excludes visitors in the European Union from Real User Measurements collection. Cloudflare Web Analytics is designed to operate without analytics cookies or visitor fingerprinting.
Cloudflare security services and embedded HubSpot functionality may use cookies or similar technical mechanisms. We do not currently intentionally use advertising tracking pixels or behavioral advertising tools. We will update this policy if our practices change.
08. Children and teenagers
Our current online research interest form is intended for people aged 18 or older. We value younger perspectives and may explore age-appropriate research opportunities in the future. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or caregiver to contact us instead of submitting the adult research form.
We do not knowingly seek sensitive information directly from children through that form. If we learn a child has submitted such information, we will review it and take appropriate steps under applicable law. Any future research involving minors will have separate procedures.
09. Retention and security
We keep personal information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no online service or email system is completely secure. Please avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information through general contact forms.
10. Your choices and requests
You may contact us to ask about information we hold, request a correction or deletion, or withdraw your interest in research communications. We will review requests under applicable law and may need to verify your identity. Some information may need to be retained for legal or operational reasons.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services and research evolve. We will update the effective date and provide additional notice when required by law.
